SMDS Realty
An OFW-first property platform that turned a 33-year-old developer into a digital-native brand.
Challenge
SMDS has been building homes for Filipino families since 1991, but their digital presence didn't carry the same craft as the developments themselves. Their biggest buyer cohort — OFWs researching property from Singapore, Dubai, and Los Angeles — was bouncing before completing a single inquiry. Trust signals weren't legible. Floor plans were buried inside PDFs. Site speed from outside the Philippines made browsing punishing.
Approach
We rebuilt the platform around the OFW buying journey: a developments index sortable by lifestyle and budget, virtual walk-throughs of every model home, a property-finance calculator tuned to BSP regulations and OFW remittance constraints, and a multi-currency inquiry form that routes by region to the right agent. The infrastructure ships from a CDN tuned to Asia-Pacific and Gulf routes, so the site loads as fast in Dubai as it does in Quezon City.
Outcome
Qualified OFW inquiries grew 3.8x year-over-year. SMDS attributes ₱412M in reservations to the platform in the first twelve months. The agent network now uses the site as a co-selling tool on overseas video calls — what used to require three follow-up emails now closes inside a single conversation.
“Our buyers abroad finally see SMDS the way we see ourselves — careful, rooted, built to last. The site does the heavy lifting before our agents ever pick up the phone.”
